Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Model Risk Quantitative Analyst

At MUFG Bank, Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President, Model Risk Quantitative Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management team.

About the Role

This is a critical role that requires a strong background in quantitative modeling, financial mathematics, and risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating and governing models used by MUFG in EMEA, ensuring that they are accurate, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and govern models used by MUFG in EMEA, including derivative pricing models, risk models, and capital models.
  • Design and implement challenger models to test and validate existing models.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and review of model frameworks, assumptions, data, and results.
  • Ensure that models are validated in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Document findings and recommendations for model improvements in validation reports.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics, or mathematical finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quantitative modeling, model validation, or risk management.
  • Strong background in financial mathematics, probability theory, and data science.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python or R, and experience with simulation and numerical methods.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
