At Galaxy, our Risk Engineering team plays a critical role in supporting the Risk Management function across all lines of business, including proprietary trading, asset management, and market making. We are seeking a high-caliber Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of new models, processes, and applications primarily using the Beacon Platform.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a Quant and/or Engineering role at a financial institution, a degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or another quantitative subject, and proficiency in Python. Familiarity with Digital Assets and DeFi is a plus. In this role, you will work closely with risk, finance, and business partners to understand their needs and architect appropriate solutions. You will also write and maintain high-quality code and documentation and work with Model Risk Management to ensure it conforms to the high standards required in a regulated financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement new and existing quantitative models, processes, and applications

  • Collaborate with the broader engineering team to build world-class enterprise solutions
  • Write and maintain high-quality code and documentation and work with Model Risk Management to ensure it conforms to the high standards required in a regulated financial institution

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Quant and/or Engineering role at a financial institution
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or another quantitative subject
  • Proficiency in Python required
  • Familiarity with Digital Assets and DeFi a plus
