Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Primary Intervention Specialist to join our team at a primary school in Camden. As a Learning Mentor Assistant, you will provide targeted intervention support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of phonics and experience running phonics interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored interventions, focusing on areas of difficulty such as phonics.
  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support to SEND children to enhance their learning experience.
  • Work closely with class teachers to align interventions with the curriculum and classroom activities.
  • Build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, support, and confidence-building.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, helping all students feel supported.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, with specific experience in providing interventions for SEND students.
  • A good understanding of phonics and experience running phonics interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with additional learning needs.
Salary:

£28-35 per hour (dependent on experience)
