About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our team at a special school in Hounslow. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing effective intervention programs tailored to the specific needs of KS2 students with learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, caregivers, and specialists
  • Deliver one-on-one and small group instruction to enhance student understanding and performance in core subjects
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance educational practices

Requirements:

  • A valid teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) relevant to primary education
  • Specialized training or coursework in special education, particularly for children with severe or profound learning difficulties
  • Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting autistic students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a primary education setting, ideally with students who have learning difficulties
  • Knowledge of various assessment tools and interventions for monitoring student progress

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £42,500 per annum, plus benefits.
