About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teaching and Support professional to join our team at a specialist school in Oldham. As a Therapeutic Learning Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement learning plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, using your expertise to promote engagement and participation

Contract Details:

Location: Oldham, close to major motorway networks and public transport, Contract Type: Temporary - Permanent, Duration: Full academic year, Pay: £95 per day, Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a specialist SEN setting
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification
  • GCSE Maths and English, and computer literacy skills
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training

Eligibility:

  • Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
  • Two professional child-related references covering the last two years
