Learning Support Assistant: Unlocking Potential

At Empowering Learning, we're seeking dedicated Psychology Graduates to join our team as Learning Support Assistants in a primary school setting based in Havering, London. This full-time role presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about empowering students with Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism.
Job OverviewThis position involves working closely with pupils to support their learning and emotional well-being. You will be responsible for engaging and supporting pupils' learning, developing therapeutic relationships, and promoting inclusive activities to maximise their achievement.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting pupils with diverse needs, including Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism
- Encouraging emotional regulation and fostering positive relationships with pupils
- Developing therapy goals and aims to cater to individual needs
- Creating an inclusive environment to promote pupil participation and achievement

To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs (desirable)
- Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
- Valid DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
- Availability for a minimum of 12-39 weeks
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The contract duration is 12-39 weeks, with the potential for a permanent position.
