We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kinship Care Specialist to join our team at Staffordshire County Council.

This role involves providing regular supervision, support, and unannounced visits to approved kinship foster carers across the county.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fostering assessments for approval, annual reviews, and Special Guardianship reports for Court.
  • Maintain close liaison with children's teams and others involved in the team around fostered children to ensure good outcomes.

You will work closely with the SGO Post Order Support Team and other Fostering and Kinship Teams to strive for best practice and provide high-quality reports.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • A Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England with ideally 2 years' experience.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Fostering National Minimum Standards, Fostering Regulations, and Special Guardianship Regulations.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in a wide range of aspects of the social work role.
