As a Senior Planner within the Arcadis Nuclear team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of plans for nuclear programmes and projects. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, government-backed initiatives with a global impact.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of plans for nuclear programmes and projects, ensuring they are aligned with the programme's scope, logic, and interfaces.
- Assist in the creation of future plans, aligning them with existing plans and ensuring the latest approved timeframes are incorporated.
- Monitor plans through liaison with stakeholders and concerned parties, providing ongoing updates and progress reports.
- Develop and implement change management processes for approved items and what-if scenarios, as requested by the Project Manager or Commercial Management Office Lead.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to show progress, variances, and resource curves for the plans.
- Create one-off plans as required and identified by the Commercial Management Office Lead or nominated deputy.
- Liaise with clients to ensure alignment with the latest best practices, processes, and procedures in line with Nuclear Subject Matter Experts' knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
- Strong experience delivering projects using the NEC suite of contracts.
- Experienced in using P6.
Desirable:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Nuclear industry or complex infrastructure, with good communication skills.
- Core knowledge of Cost, Commercial, Estimating, Planning, Risk, and Reporting disciplines in a Project/Programme lifecycle.
- Experience in reviewing and understanding the consequences of Cost, Time, and Risk outputs, such as Critical Path Analysis, Monthly Cost and Commercial reporting, and Risk reviews.
- Ability to deputise for fellow Planners and Controls Line Manager on planning issues.
