Exciting Opportunity for Cardiac Physiologists

We are seeking two full-time Chief Cardiac Physiologists to join our dynamic team at the Ipswich Hospital. As a key member of our echocardiography team, you will be responsible for performing a range of clinical procedures, interpreting clinical data, and delivering results to medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform clinical procedures safely and appropriately in accordance with local and national policy, procedure, and guidance.
  2. Interpret clinical data, produce factual reports, and deliver results to other medical professionals.
  3. Contribute to the department training and education programme and implement changes to practice/service provision in liaison with the principal/deputy principal cardiac physiologists.
  4. Work within trust and external professional standards of proficiency and practice safely and effectively while maintaining legal and ethical boundaries.

About the Role:

This is an exciting time to join our department as we are currently refurbishing our cardiac catheter labs to improve patient care. We are expanding our PCI and pacing therapies, including complex PCI procedures and CRT-P/conduction system device implants, allowing patients to be treated locally.

Requirements:

  • Significant clinical experience working in the field of cardiac physiology at band 6 level.
  • Experience in complex echo/devices.
  • Experience in training staff.
  • Research experience.
  • Able to work as an independent practitioner in the field of speciality.
