About the Role

We are seeking two experienced Chief Cardiac Physiologists to join our dynamic team at the Ipswich Hospital. As a key member of our echocardiography team, you will be responsible for performing a range of clinical procedures, interpreting clinical data, and delivering results to medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical procedures safely and appropriately in accordance with local and national policy, procedure, and guidance.
  • Interpret clinical data, produce factual reports, and deliver results to other medical professionals.
  • Contribute to the department training and education programme and implement changes to practice/service provision in liaison with the principal/deputy principal cardiac physiologists.
  • Work within trust and external professional standards of proficiency and practice safely and effectively while maintaining legal and ethical boundaries.

Person Specification

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of a wide range of cardiac physiology investigations and advanced specialist knowledge in one area of cardiac physiology.

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Cardiac Physiology/Cardiac Science/Healthcare science.

Experience

  • Significant clinical experience working in the field of cardiac physiology at band 6 level.
  • Experience in complex echo/devices.
  • Experience in training staff.
  • Research experience.
  • Able to work as an independent practitioner in the field of speciality.
