Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic multi-academy trust in Gloucestershire.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students of all abilities, including those with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide PPA cover and deliver English, Maths, and Functional Skills to our KS4 students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
  • Run activities and interventions to support student learning and engagement
  • Lead 1:1 and small group sessions to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Support students with special educational needs and develop strategies to promote inclusion
  • Report writing and liaison with senior leadership team to track student progress
About You:

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Experience working with children, particularly in a secondary setting
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Effective communication skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
