About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Brookthorpe Hall School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional needs of our pupils with Autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging learning materials and activities to support pupil learning and development
  • Provide emotional and physical support to pupils, promoting their well-being and independence
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social skills and relationships
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils with Autism and complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with challenging behaviors
