We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic multi-academy trust in Gloucestershire.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing in September 2024. You will work up to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year, term time only.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be working with our KS4 students at our site in Gloucester. Your main duties will include:

  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
  • Running activities and leading 1:1 and small group interventions to support student learning
  • Supporting students of all abilities, including those with special educational needs
  • Reporting student progress to senior leadership team
About You:

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Experience working with children, particularly secondary age
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Effective communication skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
