About the Role:

The Events Manager is a key member of the Oliver Wyman Global Events Team, responsible for leading internal and client-facing events across Europe. This role involves developing and implementing a strategic event program for the UKI market, focusing on events that deepen engagement and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an annual event plan for the UKI Market, including intimate dinners, roundtables, networking events, corporate hospitality, and multiday conferences.
  • Lead event planning, establishing vision, and overseeing ideation, planning, and execution in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue contracting, travel management, invitation and registration, event setup, and AV production.
  • Oversee budgets and expenses for managed events.
  • Provide consultancy services to business teams, advising on event planning and firm guidelines.
  • Support the Events Director on regional and global initiatives as required.
  • Execute strategic projects in the UKI market as needed.
  • Implement industry trends and innovations to create compelling event designs and improve standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and supervise event planners and coordinators.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of international event management experience, including large-scale events.
  • Experience coaching team members and leading project teams.
  • Previous experience in management consultancy, professional services, or a related sector is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong experience with meeting management software and technology platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, and MS Teams.
