Learning Support Assistant for Children with Special Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Austin Fraser in Lancaster. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs in achieving their full potential.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with designated pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide high-quality education and support.
- Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to promote a positive learning environment.
- Manage challenging behavior effectively and contribute to the provision of a safe and secure learning environment.
- Support the use of support staff relevant to the class and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- A minimum of previous teaching or 1:1 support experience following planning.
- An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
- Two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
