About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Fleet Logistics team at British Airways. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to a team of 27 Fleet Logistic Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for our customers, ensuring a seamless interface and exceptional service delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of the internal performance of the Supply Chain, proactively identifying and addressing issues to optimize material flow efficiently.
  • Ensure timely delivery of spares according to planned inputs, guaranteeing operational continuity.
  • Proactively engage with customers and suppliers to address any deviations from agreed service levels, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues promptly.
  • Validate material requirements and provide strategic direction for 27 Fleet Logistics Coordinators to streamline operations.
  • Set priorities effectively in cases of conflicting demands, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Take the lead in managing relationships with key customers, fostering strong connections and facilitating smooth information flow.
  • Provide proactive support to customers before input, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Take ownership of the review process, conducting thorough analysis of supply issues and coordinating actions to achieve timely resolutions.

  • Understanding of Inventory Management techniques

  • Good people management skills
Experience
  • Experience in Engineering or a Supply Chain environment for a minimum of 5 years
  • Experience of influencing, communicating, and negotiating both internally and externally to meet customer requirements
  • Supplier management experience
  • Innovative and adaptable to the management of change
  • Analysis and interpretation of data
  • Good awareness of Airworthiness Requirements with a good understanding of those requirements relating to component documentation
  • Knowledge of British Airways quality requirements relating to the receipt and dispatch of aircraft spares
