Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom Norfolk Full time

Permanent position | Competitive hourly wage ranging from £12.59 to £13.46 (£18,712 to £20,010 annually for 28.5 hours per week) | Flexible part-time roles available from 19 to 28.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about restoring confidence and enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our local communities? If so, we invite you to explore opportunities in Social Care, even if you have not previously considered this field.

At Norfolk, we embrace a reablement philosophy, collaborating with individuals in their residences to create a meaningful impact. Our goal is to assist them in regaining their independence within a six-week timeframe following a period of illness or life changes, and our Support Workers (Reablement) play a crucial role in this process.

Discover what a typical day looks like for a Support Worker (Reablement).

We have openings in our Double Assist Team as well as opportunities for individual support (within a team of 12) throughout the region, providing essential assistance with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.

Our Double Assist Team operates in key areas including North Walsham, Mundesley, and Cromer. Our individual schedules also cover these locations along with Stalham, Ludham, Horning, Acle, and Blofield.

Current vacancies include:

  • Support Worker (Reablement) in Double Assist Team - 28.5 hours per week (averaged over two weeks)
  • Support Worker (Reablement) - 19 to 28.5 hours per week (averaged over two weeks)
  • Support Worker (Reablement) Swift Team - working in pairs for 25 hours per week (averaged over two weeks)

Your working hours will vary, including mornings (7.30am to 2pm or 8am to 2.30pm) and evenings (4.30 to 9pm or 5 to 10pm), with a two-week rota that allows for effective planning and a balanced work-life dynamic.

We seek individuals who are compassionate, understanding, and dedicated to positively impacting lives. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are required for commuting to clients' homes in North Norfolk. Previous experience is not necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided. In return, we offer a competitive salary and a variety of employee benefits, including:

  • Enhanced pay for weekend shifts
  • Compensation for travel time between scheduled visits
  • Reimbursement for business mileage
  • Paid training sessions
  • Support in obtaining your Care Certificate
  • Provision of a work laptop and mobile phone
  • Complimentary DBS check
  • Free uniform
  • Access to a local office for meetings with colleagues or supervisors

We encourage you to apply for the specific vacancies that interest you.

Please note that these positions are not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Before submitting your application, we recommend reviewing the full job description to ensure you meet the necessary criteria. Additional information can be found on our website.
