As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners on their educational journey by delivering English and Mathematics Functional Skills qualifications across various levels.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills training in English and Mathematics, encompassing assessments and examinations.
  • Maintain accurate learner portfolios, documenting progress and achievements to showcase individual growth.
  • Provide personalized support and guidance to learners, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Meticulously record learner progress and assessment results, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
  • Develop innovative teaching materials and delivery methods that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality assurance and risk management within all aspects of your role.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Possess a recognized teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, CTLLS, or PTLLS.
  • Hold a minimum level 2 qualification in both English and Mathematics.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in delivering Functional Skills at various levels.
  • Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with learners.
  • Embrace a flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
