Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Hyper Acute Stroke team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our stroke services.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Clinical Expertise: Provide leadership and clinical expertise to the stroke team, ensuring high standards of care and patient outcomes.
  2. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency stroke calls and admissions, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide timely and effective care.
  3. Education and Development: Develop and implement education programs for staff and patients, promoting evidence-based practice and best practices in stroke care.
  4. Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Neurosciences Experience: Proven experience in neurosciences, with a strong understanding of stroke care and management.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in leading teams and implementing change.
  • Education and Qualifications: Registered Nurse (General) degree or equivalent, with a mentorship qualification and a strong commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
