Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Puttshack. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to meet the standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing and directing all aspects of the kitchen operation.
  • Ensure that all food is presented to the highest standards and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Assist with menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
