Senior Surveyor – Property Development

Plowman Craven, a leading surveying and specialist measurement company in the UK, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to join our Property Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all surveying and technical aspects of projects, ensuring quality and health and safety standards are met.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project survey team, collaborating with Project Managers and the Delivery Lead team to meet project objectives.
  • Mentor and act as a role model to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors, helping them gain necessary experience and technical knowledge.
  • Discuss and agree the most appropriate technology and efficient method to deliver projects, driving success against programme, quality, and commercial objectives.
  • Proactively communicate with the project team, providing reports on project progress for allocated tasks.
  • Ensure each survey task is resourced with the right skills and equipment, prioritizing consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead by example on managing project data, ensuring the project team adheres to company protocols.
  • Review internal surveyor work and external supplier work, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technology developments in the industry, updating the company and team as needed.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in general surveying.
  • Laser scanning experience.
  • Topographical surveying experience.
  • Measured building surveying experience.
  • Qualification relevant to surveying or civil engineering.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Use of N4CE, Cyclone & AutoCAD.
  • Strong IT understanding.
  • Willingness to be flexible with working location and hours.
