About the RoleAs a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all surveying and technical aspects of projects, ensuring that they meet company standards for quality and health and safety. You will also mentor and act as a role model to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors, helping them gain the necessary experience and technical knowledge to further develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all surveying and technical aspects of projects, ensuring that they meet company standards for quality and health and safety.
- Mentor and act as a role model to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors, helping them gain the necessary experience and technical knowledge to further develop their skills.
- Work in conjunction with the project survey team to discuss and agree the most appropriate technology and method to deliver projects, driving success against programme, quality, and commercial objectives.
- Pro-actively communicate with the project team, including the delivery team, and provide reports on project progress for allocated tasks to the Project Manager and Lead Surveyor.
- Work with the Survey Manager to ensure that each survey task is resourced with the right skills and equipment, prioritising consistency throughout the lifecycle of the project and considering opportunities for professional development aligned with company competency framework.
- Lead by example on managing all project data, ensuring that the project team adheres to company protocols, including file naming, folder structures, file sizes, archiving, and security.
- Ensure that the project survey team delivers the project to the appropriate level of quality.
- Review internal surveyor work in accordance with the QA Checklist, delivered to the CAD/Revit Authoring Teams in a 'client ready' format.
- Review and prepare feedback for external supplier work in accordance with the QA Checklist.
- Ensure independent QA checks on specific tasks are completed as appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with the client as needed and provide feedback.
- Stay up to date and informed with the latest trends and technology developments in the industry, updating the company and the team as needed.

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in general surveying.
- Laser scanning experience.
- Topographical surveying experience.
- Measured building surveying experience.
- Qualification relevant to surveying or civil engineering.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Use of N4CE, Cyclone & AutoCAD.
- Strong IT understanding.
- Willingness to be flexible with working location and hours.
