Senior Surveyor Role Overview

Plowman Craven is seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to lead our Property Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all surveying and technical aspects of projects, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project survey team on allocated projects, collaborating with Project Managers and the Delivery Lead team to meet project objectives.
• Mentor and act as a role model to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors, helping them gain the necessary experience and technical knowledge to further develop their skills.
• Work with the project survey team to discuss and agree the most appropriate technology and method to deliver projects, driving success against programme, quality, and commercial objectives.
• Proactively communicate with the project team, providing reports on project progress for allocated tasks to the Project Manager and Lead Surveyor.
• Work with the Survey Manager to ensure each survey task is resourced with the right skills and equipment, prioritizing consistency throughout the project lifecycle and considering opportunities for professional development aligned with our competency framework.
• Lead by example on managing project data, ensuring the project team adheres to company protocols, including file naming, folder structures, file sizes, archiving, and security.
• Ensure the project survey team delivers the project to the appropriate level of quality.
• Review internal surveyor work in accordance with the QA Checklist, delivered to the CAD/Revit Authoring Teams in a 'client ready' format.
• Review and prepare feedback for external supplier work in accordance with the QA Checklist.
• Ensure independent QA checks on specific tasks are completed as appropriate.
