Senior Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead a major highways upgrade project in Cornwall. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects.

The role involves overseeing a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site, as well as delivering the project safely, on time, and to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a valid SMSTS and CSCS card, as well as a degree in civil engineering or equivalent.

The project offers long-term contract potential and the opportunity to put your stamp on the scheme from the outset. You will be responsible for supervising workers, subcontractors, and work activities, as well as delivering effective tool box talks to a diverse team.

As a technically aware Senior PM, you will have sound knowledge of infrastructure delivery gained with reputable contracting businesses. Some client-side experience would be a bonus, but not essential.

The appointed Senior PM will have a track record in delivering highways upgrade major schemes and will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the site
  2. Deliver the project safely, on time, and to customer satisfaction
  3. Supervise workers, subcontractors, and work activities
  4. Deliver effective tool box talks to a diverse team
  5. Ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards

Requirements:

  • Valid SMSTS and CSCS card
  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience in civil engineering projects
  • Strong background in project management
  • Sound knowledge of infrastructure delivery
