Strategic Business Growth Manager

About the Role:
The Business Development Manager is a key role within our team, responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies to drive growth and achieve strategic goals.
This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with our Marketing and Business Development Team to acquire and nurture new and existing relationships, driving business growth and maximising profitable revenue.
- You will lead the implementation of business development strategies for our aligned business unit, with the aim of building new business pipelines and meeting the needs of existing relationships.
- Collaborate with other Business Development Managers across all Business Units to identify and drive opportunities in each market.
- Utilise reporting systems and data insights to track and monitor activity, ensuring return on investment.
- Dedicate time in market, identifying opportunities, attending meetings and developing new relationships to drive strategic profitable growth.
- Develop an understanding of our Groups legal and financial services and products to advise others and promote them to external clients.
- Prepare business cases and proposals to support opportunities that drive growth.
- Responsible for assigned key accounts/intermediaries/panels/partnerships to support growth, with action plans to achieve objectives.
- Develop presentations and proposal documents and accompany partners on new business pitches where appropriate.
- New Propositions: Support the launch and adoption of new propositions and packages.
- You will be the expert voice and representation of the client in the relevant market, ensuring our approach is relevant and facilitating an account management role.
- Work alongside our Responsible Business Team to bring the Responsible Business strategy to life through business development, identifying new opportunities to create new relationships or partnerships.
- You will have proven experience working in a business development or sales and marketing role.
- Experience and ability to be proactive and engaged in the external market, developing relationships with clients, contacts or intermediaries.
- Ability to interpret and make good use of data to make sound decisions and encourage others to do so.
- Hugely flexible, collaborative and creative, with the ability to thrive on change, challenges the status quo and constantly looks for new opportunities to do things better.
- Obsessive about client care and constantly seeks to delight the client.
- Experience of working in a market-facing, multi-disciplined marketing and business development team in a medium/large organisation.
- Strong written communications skills with an eye for detail.
- CIM qualification or a Degree based in Marketing or Business (although not essential).
- An estimated salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 25 days holiday as standard plus bank holidays - You can 'buy' up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.
