About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Interim Deputy Director of People. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organisation and driving our people strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Director of People and provide leadership in the delivery of major organisational and system change projects.
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to the organisation, including employment law updates and complex employee relations issues.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of effective people policies and procedures that align with our values and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Trust's People Plan, including workforce planning, talent management, and staff wellbeing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive system-wide change and improve the delivery of people services.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in a complex healthcare organisation, with a strong track record of delivering people strategy and improving workforce performance.
  • Member or Fellow of the CIPD, with evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and experience of implementing EDI initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a complex environment, manage employee conflicts, and develop effective relationships with stakeholders.
