Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Pensions Shared Service team as a Pensions Assistant. You will play a key role in administering the Local Government Pension Scheme for five London boroughs: Camden, Merton, Richmond, Waltham Forest, and Wandsworth.

Job Description

You will be responsible for processing a wide range of pension scheme member events, including retirements, transfers, and other administrative tasks. This will involve communicating with members on the phone and via email, as well as applying your knowledge and expertise to help answer their questions.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about and process major pension scheme member events, and discover the legislation that governs these processes.

Requirements
  • Excellent numerical skills and ability to undertake detailed mathematical calculations accurately
  • Knowledge and high capability of using Microsoft Office packages (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate complex rules or processes in a clear and appropriate way
  • Organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Awareness of the needs of differing cultural and minority groups
Benefits
