Shadow Football Governance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Department for Culture, Media & Sport as a Shadow Football Regulator. The role involves developing proposals and implementing the regulator's internal corporate governance framework. You will be part of a governance secretariat function, offering a unique insight into key decisions and discussions at the highest level.
The position requires excellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detail. A background in corporate governance and understanding of the football industry are highly desirable.
Key responsibilities include leading proposals for corporate governance processes, supporting the transition of governance from the shadow football regulator to a fully operational organisation, and developing and implementing governance policies and procedures.
As part of a new governance secretariat function, you will need to have the appropriate skills to adapt to emerging priorities and support the effective running of the governance framework. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure issues are brought to the Board, Committees, and other governance fora at the right time to support effective decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with experience of engaging with and influencing colleagues and senior stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. You will also have a strong track record of managing a broad cross-cutting brief in a fast-moving environment and be able to respond to emerging priorities and prioritise tasks effectively.
