About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at City Football Group. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering physiotherapy services and development support to our players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver physiotherapy services and development support to specific player groups during periods of group training
  • Provide proactive support at the CFA base for players on loan, liaising with their loan club support team regarding the player's status, management, rehabilitation, and development programmes
  • Assist in the development of evidence-led processes and pathways for all areas of Physiotherapy within CFG, using all available resources, including the latest research, and in collaboration with clinical specialists

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of lower limb injuries related to football
  • Extensive knowledge of medical screening/injury profiling in the elite sporting population
  • High level of assessment capability that can identify appropriate impairments and develop a sequential and effective rehabilitation plan
  • Strong coaching ability in the gym environment to connect with players and engage them in their rehabilitation

Desirable Qualifications

  • Foreign language skills or fluency (Spanish/Portuguese/French)
  • Demonstrable ability to scientifically evaluate test results, including musculoskeletal imaging, force profiling, scientific data, and relevant sports medicine/science literature
  • Experience of working within an MDT and leading a team in MDT discussions
  • Experience of working collaboratively with practitioners and players from other countries and cultures
  • Experience of using data management systems to ensure the secure and efficient storage of monitoring and evaluation data
