About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Maintenance Superintendent at Altrad Sparrows. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of cable and pipelay system projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Support and Oversight: Provide technical support, supervision, and mentoring to onshore support teams and site-based technicians to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Operations and Maintenance Excellence: Support the operations and maintenance of cable and pipelay systems to the highest standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Technical Guidance and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the business development team, project controls, and engineering teams to ensure the delivery of right-first-time operations and maintenance.
  • Site Instructions and Fault Finding: Be involved in site instructions and fault finding exercises related to cable and pipe lay equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead by example and adopt a continuous improvement attitude towards operations and maintenance execution and delivery.
  • Audit and Review: Complete operations and maintenance audits across the fleet of equipment and sites to ensure standards are being met.
  • Lessons Learned: Lead After Action Reviews (AARs) and Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) to ensure lessons learned are captured to mitigate recurrence.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs of workshop and site-based technicians to enhance their skill set.
  • Interface and Communication: Interface with internal discipline support teams and the wider Sparrows organization to deliver a comprehensive cable and pipe lay system service.
  • Client Interface: Interface with internal and external clients to ensure a professional service is provided in a timely fashion.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Cable and Pipelay Systems Experience: Suitable experience to support the role requirements.
  • Onshore Engineering Experience: Adequate onshore engineering experience to support the role requirements.
