Job Description

Compliance Professionals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Crime and Compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance and regulatory affairs, with a focus on anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Policies and Procedures: Create and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
  • Conduct Annual Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential risks to the organization, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to AML/CFT.
  • Sanctions and Transaction Monitoring: Oversee the organization's sanctions and transaction monitoring regime to prevent financial crime.
  • Compliance Framework: Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework to ensure that the organization is operating in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Regulatory Returns: Ensure that all regulatory returns are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Complaints Procedures: Ensure that the organization's complaints procedures are followed correctly, and reports are made to the relevant authorities as necessary.
  • Financial Crime and Compliance Function: Manage the organization's financial crime and compliance function, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Executive Risk Committee: Serve as an active member of the Executive Risk Committee, providing guidance and expertise on compliance and regulatory matters.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance and regulatory affairs, with a focus on AML/CFT.
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification, such as a degree in law or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to AML/CFT.
