About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Systems Development Manager to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of our Management Systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Lead and manage quality and environmental management activities, communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure management goals and objectives are met.
  • Manage the development and implementation of best practice processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and environmental permits.
  • Provide training and awareness on quality and environmental management systems for personnel, ensuring the management systems are embedded in operations.
  • Lead, manage, and coordinate management reviews and internal/external audits, including preparation and execution of the IMS audit programme.
  • Help define quality and environmental objectives and metrics (KPI), ensure reporting is in place, analyze performance, and propose corrective or improvement actions.
  • Liaise with Tideway to ensure the Tideway Management System is provided and maintained by Tideway following the System Acceptance Period.
  • Provide technical support for the drafting of key documents, as required.
  • Support the department by liaising or attending meetings with key internal and external stakeholders, as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant business or technical experience in the water industry.
  • Degree/Post-graduate level education (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualification in management systems, audit, and asset management, such as Member of CQI, ICRA qualified Auditor, and Member of IAM.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and EA guidelines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviors.
  • Proactive approach.

  • Competitive salary offering up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience and skills.
