Role Overview

The Part-time Youth Program Coordinator will be responsible for leading the day-to-day organisation of the After School Club, creating a safe and welcoming environment that delivers high-quality creative play opportunities tailored to each child's needs and personality.

This role is permanent, part-time, and operates Monday to Friday during term time. The estimated salary for this position is £23,151 per annum, pro rata (including a living wage supplement of £12.00 per hour).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with the school to understand the needs of children attending the club.
  • Designing and implementing activities that cater to individual development needs and age ranges of children.
  • Promoting inclusive practice, ensuring all children can participate in activities if they wish.
  • Consulting and collaborating with children to plan engaging activities.

Requirements
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Experience in leading teams and designing engaging activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and safe environment.

Working Arrangements

This role requires an enhanced DBS check and up-to-date references. The successful candidate will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
