Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, and contractual requirements affecting the storage and transport of hazardous substances, articles, and radiological protection. This will involve providing specialist advice to management and operations, as well as supporting the Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) team in meeting their goals across all areas.

Key Tasks
  • Support the main site in Telford, with flexibility to travel to other key sites as required.
  • Provide specialist advice to management and operations on compliance with legislation, policy, and contractual requirements.
  • Complete internal audit processes to satisfy Dangerous Goods Requirements and KN Global process.
  • Provide ongoing support to the operational team to improve standards of Dangerous Goods and Radiation regulations and achieve defined levels of compliance.
  • Support the wider QSHE Team in ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policy, and Contractual requirements to QSHE policies and process through the audit and QSHE tour processes.
  • Support the QSHE communications process by being actively involved in the development and delivery of QSHE specific communications.
  • Report performance against targets to the QSHE Management Team.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA), Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), and Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Sea (IMDG) certifications.
  • Audit experience (ISO Standards 9001, 14001, and 45001 preferable).
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel, numerate/data rational.
  • Analytical/report writing/forward planning skills.
