Inventory Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Operations Manager to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all aspects of our inventory operations to ensure that stock is available to meet customer requirements at all times.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Process adherence: Review and update all Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on a regular basis to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
- Working with the operation to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Operation Requirements (SOR) targets, and producing weekly reports for the Operations Leadership Manager.
- Continuously reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures, and efficiency, and conducting root cause analysis to prevent future errors.
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly briefings with the team, achieving individual and team productivity performance standards, including accuracy, and developing the team through succession planning.
- Promoting high standards of hygiene and housekeeping, and ensuring compliance with all legislative Health & Safety requirements.
- Promoting and ensuring a consistent, fair, and thorough approach to the implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with the Quality systems, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Adhering to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy and complying with all instructed Safe Working Practices, including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace.
- Logistics management experience in a large, fast-moving environment.
- Strong warehouse system experience.
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to enthuse and motivate, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and deal with conflict successfully.
- Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness.
- Drive, determination, and a track record in delivering continuous improvement.
- A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
- Experience of working to agreed targets.
- Preferred experience of JDA/Red Prairie systems.
