We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Chef Assistant to join the team at Jean Georges at The Connaught. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef to take on a new challenge within the outstanding brigade and develop their career within the award-winning 5-Star deluxe Connaught Hotel.

Internationally renowned Michelin-starred French Chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten's eclectic, imaginative menus are inspired by his experiences of the Far East and his signature use of South-east Asian flavours. As Chef Patron, his distinctive take on British and Connaught classics are reflected in The Connaught menus and are influenced by his earlier working life and love of London. Sourcing the best of British ingredients, the menus also reflect the farm-to-table, fresh-from-the-market approach long pioneered by Jean-Georges.

Responsibilities:

As Executive Chef Assistant, you will assist the kitchen team in the preparation and service of food, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. You will be passionate about working with the finest and freshest ingredients, and take an organized approach to your role, prioritizing effectively to ensure the smooth running of your section, sharing your knowledge and supporting the brigade.

Skills and experience:

You will be an exceptional team player with excellent communication skills and a focus on detail to deliver outstanding quality and service within a high-profile kitchen. With this in mind, you will have experience ideally at a similar level within a quality dining environment and have proven relevant experience.
