Overview
Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our Imaging/ Intervention Radiology team.
Salary
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £25,329-£26,958 per annum, inclusive of HCAS benefits.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to support our nursing team in providing excellent patient care. The role includes assisting patients with personal care and hygiene, documenting care given, and adhering to infection control policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with safe mobilisation according to their plan of care.
- Accurately record ECGs and report back to qualified nurses.
- Support therapeutic recreational activities for patients as appropriate.
- Escort patients from the ward to other departments within the hospital.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the nurse in charge.
Requirements
- Functional level of English and Math.
- Care Certificate in Acute Care.
- Previous experience working as a healthcare support worker within the NHS for a minimum of six months.
