Senior Mental Health Specialist

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of health and social care services for people with mental ill-health and learning disabilities.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our Home Treatment Team, providing intensive community care underpinned by the principles of acute and dynamic risk management.

The successful candidate will have 2-3 outpatient clinics per week as follow-up appointments and approximately 2 to 3 Emergency/Domiciliary visits per week.

The role involves working closely with other NHS and voluntary sector organisations to provide services and support people who use services and carers.

About the Role
  • Providing expert care and treatment to patients in their homes
  • Developing individual care plans for each patient to work towards step down to less intensive clinical support
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide early intervention and avoid admission

The salary for this position is £105,504 to £139,882 per annum, plus a fringe allowance of £149.

Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Full medical registration with a license to practice
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act or equivalent

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of mental health principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
