About the Position:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated nurse to join our Urology Department as a Band 5 Urology Nurse. The successful candidate will have some surgical nursing experience, with opportunities to develop their skills in a diverse range of clinical interventions and investigations in the urological field.

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced acute hospital environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. You will work collaboratively with the Urology Nursing Team and Urology Consultants to provide expert specialized care, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the recovery of post-operative patients, flexible cystoscopy services, urology treatments, lithotripsy, and outpatient clinics
  • Training and supporting junior staff members
  • Contributing to the development of local template biopsy lists

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with some surgical experience
  • Diploma in nursing or equivalent knowledge and skills

Essential Experience:

  • Working in a co-ordinating function within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Recent evidence of developing nursing practice within a clinical setting

Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
