Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Highly Specialist SLT in Neonatal Care. The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatrics and neonatal care, with experience in assessing and treating complex feeding and communication needs in premature and term babies.

The ideal candidate will be an autonomous practitioner with excellent clinical reasoning skills, able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality care and committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to babies and children in NICU, transitional care, and paediatric wards.
  • To assess and treat complex feeding and communication needs in premature and term babies.
  • To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective discharge planning.
  • To deliver training to parents and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant experience in paediatrics and neonatal care.
  • Strong background in assessment and treatment of complex feeding and communication needs.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality care and commitment to ongoing professional development.
