Head of Facilities Management

Bexley Council is seeking a senior professional to lead the Facilities Management and Capital Transformation function.
Purpose of the Role:
- To develop and implement a strategic approach to facilities management and capital projects, ensuring alignment with the Council's objectives.
- To lead the delivery of corporate health and safety, emergency planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- To manage a team of 4 professionals and provide guidance on transformation projects.
- To drive stability and improvement within the team, with a focus on the Corporate Landlord Model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a facilities management strategy, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Lead the delivery of capital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Develop and implement a corporate health and safety strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Lead the development of emergency plans and business continuity strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in facilities management and capital transformation.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, with a focus on transformation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working with stakeholders.
