Head of Facilities Management and Capital Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Head of FM and Capital Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a Local Authority in Bexley and contribute to the appointment of a Head of FM and Capital Projects on a 13-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic overview of FM operations, ensuring regular review of contract management and adherence to building-related duties and procurement arrangements.
- Provide strategic direction and lead the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the Council's corporate health and safety strategy and policies.
- Establish effective arrangements for Facilities Management in all premises occupied by the Council, its staff, or partners, for the delivery of its services.
- Present timely, robust, and relevant information and advice to Members and Officers in relation to the Council's property and land assets.
Requirements:
- CIWFM or similar professional accreditation.
- Significant experience of working in local or central government or another major public sector organization.
- Significant experience of working/negotiating directly with senior officers and Members across the Council and external partners.
Important Notes:
- You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the U.K.
