About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our Specialist Services division, you will be responsible for driving significant top-line growth within our National Bulk Liquid offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to collect and transport waste liquid volumes using our national road tanker fleet.
  • Maximize the utilization of our fleet to increase revenue and market share.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with our General Manager Tankers to align growth strategies and drive business results.
  • Manage and maintain accurate data within our CRM platform to inform marketing campaigns and business decisions.
  • Liaise with other commercial functions to share best practices and optimize business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the waste management industry and its commercial landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and drive growth.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
