Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Nurse to join our Manchester Macmillan Supportive and Palliative Care Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a diverse range of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in specialist cancer/palliative care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Main Duties

Provide supportive palliative care to enhance the quality of life for patients/carers with life-limiting illnesses
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver effective palliative care and rehabilitation
Develop and maintain relationships with local community services and stakeholders
Contribute to the development of services and strategies to improve patient outcomes

Person Specification

* Essential qualifications and experience:
+ Up-to-date registration with the NMC
+ Health-related degree or equivalent portfolio experience
+ Substantial experience in specialist cancer/palliative care
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Desirable qualifications and experience:
+ Non-medical prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards V300
+ Teaching qualification or experience
+ Membership of relevant special interest groups

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary: £43,041 - £70,305 per annum (dependent on experience), as well as opportunities for professional development and training, a collaborative and dynamic work environment, and access to the latest technologies and equipment.
