Senior Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lawyer to join our in-house legal team at West Midlands Police. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and representation to the Chief Constables of West Midlands and Staffordshire Police, as part of a legal services collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise and represent the Chief Constables in legal proceedings and hearings before relevant Courts and Tribunals.
  • Support the strategic objectives of Joint Legal Services by leading on the delivery of objectives and projects.
  • Manage risk and work with external legal services as necessary.
  • Provide timely legal advice to clients and carry a complex case load.
  • Draft legal documents and perform performance management of the team.
Requirements:
  • Management Vetting and Security Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing the role.
  • Full background and financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
