Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Sellick Partnership. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on all aspects of new and existing energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice on development, construction, and operation of energy infrastructure projects, including low-carbon heating and cooling systems.
  • Working with commercial leads to develop innovative decarbonisation strategies.
  • Advising on regulatory changes and amending existing contracts and developing new contracts in line with upcoming regulation changes.
  • Drafting and negotiating a full spectrum of commercial contracts, including heat network contracts, waste heat off-take, and private wire agreements.

Requirements:

  • Experience of drafting high-value and complex commercial contracts.
  • Ability to work independently on complex matters and as part of a wider project team within the business and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
