Technical Sales Executive
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Executive to join our team at Macfarlane Packaging. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing the sales of in-house manufactured, bespoke packaging solutions across Southern England and Wales.
This is a direct sales/new business acquisition role, requiring you to identify, onboard, and develop new customer accounts, as well as further develop existing customer relationships within verticals including Aerospace, Defense, Electronics, and Medical Equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate territory growth in line with commercial targets
- Support internal teams in converting live opportunities into orders and build ongoing customer relationships through external meetings
- Use a consultative approach to analyze and solve customer problems, presenting tailored solutions and commercially viable proposals
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar technical territory/field-based sales role
- Demonstrable experience in targeting, acquiring, and winning orders from new customers
- Strong presentation, customer-facing, and influencing skills
- A background in selling technical solutions to engineers as well as buyers
- Excellent commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities
- Full valid UK driving license
- Residing within a comfortable commutable distance of our manufacturing sites in Westbury, Wiltshire, and Salisbury, Wiltshire
