About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting people affected by dementia, providing a fun and engaging activity that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with people with dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Provide encouragement and support to participants, helping them to feel at ease and participate in the singing activity.
  • Assist the session facilitator with the activities, either online or in-person, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

Requirements

  • Ability to listen and display compassion, with a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individuals with dementia.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility and availability to commit to regular sessions, with a minimum age requirement of 16.
