About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and encouragement to people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and participate in our music therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and engaging with people with dementia, helping them to feel comfortable and included
- Providing encouragement and support to participants during music therapy sessions
- Assisting the session facilitator with setting up and running the sessions
- Helping to create a safe and supportive environment for people with dementia
Requirements
- Ability to listen and display compassion
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
- Physical fitness to move tables and chairs as needed
- Ability to navigate online platforms and use Zoom with confidence (for virtual sessions)
