About the Role

We're seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a valued member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in providing support and encouragement to people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and participate in our uplifting singing sessions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with people with dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Provide encouragement and support to participants, helping them to feel confident and motivated.
  • Work collaboratively with our session facilitators to ensure the smooth delivery of our singing sessions.
  • Support the facilitator with setting up and clearing the room, as needed.

You'll be great for the role if:

  • You have a genuine interest in developing meaningful relationships and making a positive impact on people's lives.
  • You're passionate about enabling people with dementia to find their voice through music.
  • You're a team player, able to work collaboratively and flexibly.
  • You're comfortable using technology, including Zoom, to support our virtual sessions.
